What is the meaning of Hanuman Chalisa – 2

Continuing from “Charon Yug partap tumhara,” here is the meaning of the remaining verses of the Hanuman Chalisa:

  1. Hai persidh jagat ujiyara – You are famous throughout the world for your radiance
  2. Sadhu Sant ke tum Rakhware – You protect the saints and sages
  3. Asur nikandan Ram dulare – You are the enemy of the demons and beloved of Lord Rama
  4. Ashta Siddhi nau nidhi ke data – You are the giver of the eight supernatural powers and the nine treasures
  5. As var deen Janki mata – And you granted the boons that Mother Sita asked for
  6. Ram rasayan tumhare pasa – You possess the divine nectar of Lord Rama’s name
  7. Sada raho Raghupati ke dasa – You always remain as the devoted servant of Lord Rama
  8. Tumhare bhajan Ram ko pavai – Chanting your name brings one closer to Lord Rama
  9. Janam janam ke dukh bisravai – And helps them forget their sorrows in all their lifetimes
  10. Anta kaal Raghupati pur jayi – At the end of their lives, they go to Lord Rama’s abode
  11. Jahan janam Hari-Bakht Kahayi – And are born as devotees of Lord Rama in their next lives
  12. Aur Devta Chit na dharai – Even the other gods cannot fathom your glory
  13. Hanumat sei sarva sukh karai – By remembering you, one attains all happiness
  14. Sankat kate mite sab peera – All troubles and afflictions are eradicated
  15. Jo sumire Hanumat Balbeera – Those who meditate on you, the mighty and brave Hanuman
  16. Jai Jai Jai Hanuman Gosai – Victory, victory, victory to Lord Hanuman
  17. Kripa Karahu Gurudev ki naai – Bless us, O Guru and Master, with your grace
  18. Jo sat bar path kare koi – Whoever recites this hymn seventy times
  19. Chutehi bandhi maha sukh hoi – Will be liberated from all bondage and attain great happiness
  20. Jo yah padhe Hanuman Chalisa – Whoever reads this Hanuman Chalisa
  21. Hoye siddhi sakhi Gaureesa – Will attain all the powers and blessings of Lord Shiva
  22. Tulsidas sada hari chera – Tulsidas, the poet of this hymn, is always a devotee of Lord Rama
  23. Keejai Nath Hridaye mein dera – And requests the Lord to reside in his heart forever.
